(Panama).- JCJ executive secretary, Manuel Sánchez, explained that fines between US$1,000 up to US$100,000, and, if necessary, criminal complaints will be filed, because there have been countless cases of fraud.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) reported that the Gaming Control Board (JCJ) will fine those who perform illegal bingo games.
The executive secretary of the JCJ, Manuel Sánchez, explained that the fines range from 1,000 to 100,000 dollars and if necessary, the appropriate criminal complaints will be filed, because there have been countless cases of fraud.
“In recent weeks we have received various complaints about virtual bingo halls made by people who do not have the permits of the JCJ,” Sánchez reported.
The official urged Panamanians and foreigners not to participate in illegal gambling, because the entity will not protect them. "If you participate in the duly authorized platforms, both virtual and physical, we guarantee the payment of your prize," he highlighted.
He added that authorized virtual and physical platforms contribute to the economy and development of the country, because the JCJ's income is mostly destined to social works.
